Our Process.

At EDR Design Build, we operate as one integrated team from the moment you reach out to the day you move in. No bouncing between an architect, a designer, and a contractor. One point of contact. One contract. A faster path to your finished home.

Step 1 — Client Interview

Every project starts with a conversation. We sit down with you to understand your vision, your lifestyle, your timeline, and your budget. This is where we listen. We ask the right questions so that everything that follows is built around you — not around a generic template. Because we handle design and construction under one roof, the insights from this conversation carry directly into every decision made on your project.

Step 2 — Schematic Design

Once we understand what you want, our design team gets to work on the layout and spatial flow of your home. We develop schematic plans and present options using 3D renderings and visual walkthroughs so you can see and feel your home before a single permit is filed. You give feedback, we refine, and we lock in a direction together. Early alignment here is what prevents costly changes later.

As Built

With the design approved, we produce full construction documents — architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing — and submit directly to the city for permit approval. Our team knows the local jurisdictions well. We manage the process, respond to revisions, and keep things moving. While permits are being processed, we don't stop — we use that time to prepare for construction so there's no lag when approval comes through.

Step 3 — Architectural Blueprint & Submission to the City

Step 4 — Interior Design

Running in parallel with permitting, your dedicated interior designer — selected to match your personality and project — guides you through every material, finish, and fixture selection. You purchase directly; we coordinate the delivery schedule so everything arrives when it's needed on site. By the time your permit is approved, your selections are done and orders are placed. No delays. No surprises.

Step 5 — Build

When the permit is in hand and every material is on order, we break ground without hesitation. Our field team executes with precision — daily site oversight, trusted subcontractors, and hands-on quality control at every stage. You get regular updates and direct access to your project manager throughout. We don't hand over the keys until the work meets our standard and yours.
